California Propositions 98 and 99 - Prop 98 Will Fail5/27/08 USAElectionPolls.com conducted a California statewide poll on May 25, 2008 with a sample size of 500 voters. We asked voters to tell us whether they supported or opposed the propositions and then asked whether they planned to vote concerning these propositions. A large percentage of voters said that they intend to vote but it is highly unlikely that they will. We excluded voters that had no intention of voting. We weighted our poll based on age and gender. Here are our results... In parentheses are the results by Public Policy Institute (ppic.org). From these results, we believe that Prop 98 will fail and that Prop 99 will pass. Public Policy Institute conducted their poll between May 12-18 so our data is a bit more fresh but we are susceptible to Holiday bias with our poll being conducted the day before Memorial day. Either way, the results are similar. Question WordingP98 Proposition 98 on the June 3rd ballot is called "Eminent Domain Limits on Government Authority Initiative Constitutional Amendment."
