Pretty slow poll day today because of yesterday's debates. Most pollsters would rather have post-debate numbers released after the debate.

Let's clear up the national poll averages from this morning by adding in some of the polls that we have not added earlier.

Gallup Tracking: Obama 52, McCain 41.
Ipsos-McClatchy: Obama 47, McCain 40.
Hotline Tracking: Obama 45, McCain 44.
Daily Kos Tracking: Obama 51, McCain 41.
Battleground Tracking: Obama 49, McCain 45.
Hotline Tracking: Obama 45, McCain 44.
Reuters Tracking: Obama 47, McCain 45.
Rasmussen Tracking: Obama 51, McCain 45.

AVERAGE: Obama 48, McCain 43. (Obama +5%).

The biggest news of all, at least to me, is the fact that McCain set forth a plan to buy up all of the bad homeowner mortgages in an effort to stabilize the economy. As one television reporter said pretty clearly... this is a ploy by McCain to discuss the economy on his turf.
