The Democratic ticket of Barack Obama and Joe Biden leads Republicans John McCain and Sarah Palin by nine percentage points among registered voters -- higher than Obama�s lead last week, before Friday�s first presidential debate. Obama�s increased lead may be due to several factors: Republican President George W. Bush�s very low approval rating (22% in this poll, the lowest of his presidency), concerns about the financial crisis facing the country, and perceptions that Obama would better manage the economy than John McCain.
