Obama has a significant 56-38 lead with independents and is actually winning slightly more Republican voters (16%) than John McCain is Democratic voters (15%), perhaps a surprise given Hillary Clintons strong performance in the Pennsylvania primary. Obama is running just behind McCain among white voters, 50-48. His 91-9 lead with African Americans more than makes up for that and gives him his overall commanding lead. Obama is leading with every age demographic except senior citizens and has a commanding 68-30 lead with voters under 30. Pennsylvania has certainly tightened as the McCain campaign has actively worked the state in the closing weeks, said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. But while theyve been able to get their deficit in the state out of double digits theyre still well short of taking the lead back, and with very few voters still undecided it appears they wont be able to. In Pennsylvanias race for Attorney General Republican Tom Corbett leads challenger John Morganelli by a commanding margin of 52-35. Democrat Rob McCord leads 46-38 for Treasurer and Jack Wagner leads 49-35 for Auditor General.
