Americans Fear More Government Spending On The way1/24/09 Tags: US Economy From Rasmussen Reports
» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat) While Americans are embracing a change in government policies under an Obama administration, many fear that in the coming years, we will see an increase in government spending. This fear is natural but not necessarily grounded. While it is true that democratic presidents spend more than republican ones, democratic presidencies tend to improve the lives of the common man more than the later. More social programs means a well, taken care of population, and in the end, a better and stronger people. What people fear most is that goverment will take over peoples' lives. But, what one has to know is that democratic, liberal principles are present to provide for those less fortunate. Do not fear more government spending, fear instead a government that does not spend and not provide for its citizenry. Check Gmail, Facebook, and IM simultaneously with Digsby.
