Americans In Favor Of More Economic Stimulus Packages1/11/09 Tags: Economy From Rasmussen Reports
» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat) In a new Gallup poll, a majority of those interviewed said that a new economic stimulus package would be good for the country. In a time when everyone needs a little more help financially, a cash windfall would certainly help. To this author, we must be careful to not let these 'packages' overly inflate our already weakening dollar. Although this is a good idea in the short term, the long term ramifications could include the devaluation of the dollar and a weaker economy. The printing of new bills will not help this economy, rather, it is the paying off of the debts (personal and federal) that we all have that will ultimately salvage this market.
