As news of Supreme Court Justic David Souter announced his near future retirement, Rasmussen Reports conducted a quick telephone survey regarding the topic. It asked respondents whether they think the next Justice will be too liberal, or 'just about right'. According to the polls, 42% believe the pick will be too liberal, while 41% believe it will be 'just about right'.

To this author it does not matter whether the next Justice will be too liberal or not, but whether or not such a Justice will uphold and interpret the Constitution properly. President Obama will have a difficult choice selecting an appropriate Justice, but in the end this author is confident that our President will select a Supreme Court Justice who will uphold the ideals of the Constitution and this great country.
