» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat)

There has been a steady increase in the disapproval of the UN in the past few years in the eyes of Americans, as evidence by Gallup polling. Gallup gathers data on a year-to-year basis during the month of February for the preceding year, and this year's findings show the disapprovement of the UN at its apex.

Some causes for this may include the UN's inability to solve world hunger, the conflicts in the Middle East, and other global issues.

This is neither a Democratic nor Republican issue. Rather, a judgment as to the efficacy of an international governing body. We as Americans need to realize that as the world becomes more and more complex, the more problems will arise and the harder it will be to solve such issues.
