Buying a house in America is still the best bet when it comes to financial planning and according to this author, the American people have again realized this. The housing market is at a current low, but what sector of the economy is not?

Land ownership has always been the mark of success and status in America, and home ownership is the modern version of this. Now is the time to invest in owning a home, for if one can afford it, one should take full advantage of buying a house in this market.

Warren Buffett once said, "be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful". This sentiment rings true in this scenario, for one day, our economy will be strong again and those who remained brave in light of our current troubles shall be rewarded.
