Maybe it's a good thing that Congress will impose stricter limitations on who exactly can qualify for a credit card. For years, these card companies have been feasting on uninformed individuals and driving them into debt due to high interest rates and simple credit debt.

When the housing market burst, and the economy turned sour, we as Americans started to realize how spendful we all are. We realized that most of our problems can be directed into debt. With this new revelation, Congress' action of imposing stricter limits on interest charges may in fact be a blessing in disguise. Fewer people will be able to qualify for a credit card, and in the long run, this may help us reduce unnecessary spending.

This nation, for too long, has been spending out of our personal and national budget. It is now time to tighten the belt and buy only those things that are mostly needed. This credit crunch is good for our economic bellies. We all need to exercise proper money management and curtail all other excesses.
