A direct correlation of a bad economy is a high unemployment rate. In this economic storm, a clear trend is certainly developing. In a recent Gallup poll survey of more than 8,000 participants, the polling company is projecting a 7.5% unemployment rate for the country, as the federal government will come up with the official figures this Friday.

Truly, these are tough times as people lose their jobs left and right. The hardest hit sectors are retailers and office jobs, but the layoffs are pretty much across the board and widespread.

Saving money will be everyone's priority as this economy worsens. But, in order to save this economy, we must not panic. We all must realize that this economy is quite diversified and will not crash as it did almost 80 years ago.

We will get back to our feet soon enough; let not the fear of this recession affect our resolve to overcome it.
