USAElectionPolls.com Press Coverage
Arizona Republic - 6/9/08 "This race is going to be tighter than a lot of Democrats want to believe," said Proloy Bhatta, owner of USAElectionPolls.com, an online election tracker. Inglewood Today - 5/30/08 It has been said that opinions are the cheapest commodities in the world. Even so, there are those whose opinions are never made known. Proloy "Paul" Bhatta, an electrical engineer-turned entrepreneur is out to change that. The Inglewood resident, and owner of USAElectionPolls.com recently formed a partnership with Inglewood Today Weekly to publish polls in the newspaper and online, gauging opinions of residents. "We want to get people's perceptions of government, public projects and what types of businesses they want. This information may be useful to developers and investors who may or may not want to do business her. It will help the City make better decisions. Why spend a million dollars on a tennis court if no one would ever use it?" he said. In Hollywood Magazine - May 2008 The website USAelectionpolls.com aims to demystify the polling process by providing in-depth analysis of a variety of different polls and exposing potential flaws in pollsters' methodologies. Proloy Bhatta, a self-described political junkie with an MBA in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, created USAelectionpolls.com in order to provide the voting public with a comprehensive and unbiased source of polling information. According to Bhatta, many voters get their news from only one source, and depending on which poll or polls that news source reports, the viewer's opinion of a political race will be influenced. In order to avoid this type of voter bias, USAElectionpolls.com not only reports a wide variety of Presidential, House, State and Gubernatorial polls, it also offers articles that critically examine the results of these polls and illuminate how the polls' results may potentially be flawed. Interview With Dog and Pony - Late April 2008
Washington Times - April 21, 2008 "On Election Day, they've turned to the candidate they feel is a known quantity — Clinton," said Proloy Bhattacharyya of USA Election Polls, who studies the exit-poll data. "And a large percentage of undecided are going to the polls [this year]." He said the effect should lessen if Mr. Obama begins to look more like the probable Democratic nominee. Wall Street Journal - February 2008 Another site, USA Election Polls, has been averaging polls in this presidential race. Reason Magazine - October 2007 Over at the USA Election Polls site, analyzing what they say is raw Rasmussen data from a 1,200 voter poll conducted in mid-October, they find that what some Ron Paul supporters have crowed seems to be true: Ron Paul can beat Hillary where Fred Thompson, at least, can't. Or at least "beat" in terms of "not get trounced quite as badly." References and Links to USAElectionPolls.com From Major Media Outlets
